UK Compensation Manager – Perm – London -£80,000

We’re working with a growing tech organisation, based in the US, who have been expanding their compensation function into the European market, and looking for their first Specialist.

You will be responsible for the design, implementation, support and administration of compensation programs in UK/Internationally, and you’ll also serve as the primary contact with regard to compensation issues and will provide functional consulting resources to managers for resolution of compensation related issues.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Partner with Business and Leadership teams to align compensation programs with the strategic objectives of the business.
  • Manage compensation projects in cooperation with other functions.
  • Analyze compensation data including the building of financial models; identify trends and recommend appropriate action.
  • Responsible for compensation plan management utilizing various systems.
  • Coordinate across the business and matrix (Business Partners and Compensation CoE) in the development of new plans and maintenance of existing plans.
  • Provide compensation review and recommendations to Business and leaders.
  • Develop communications in support of new compensation programs, or modifications to existing plans and programs.
  • Lead annual compensation cycles including merit and variable pay reviews.
  • Conducts job analysis and job evaluations ensuring both internal and external equity.
  • Research, benchmark and review data for general information on total compensation and benefit plans for industry competitors.
  • Participates in salary surveys and studies as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 5+ years of total compensation / rewards experience.
  • Thorough understanding of legislative and other local regulations in UK.
  • Strong analytical and spreadsheet skills with critical attention to detail.
  • Proven working experience with large scale job evaluations, compensation plan design and administration in a global context.
  • Familiarity with modern HR systems such as SAP, PeopleSoft,Callidus, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively facilitate and lead meetings, tailoring messages to the given audience.
  • Thought leader with demonstrated problem solving skills with an understanding of business concepts and models.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing programs and projects using a project management methodology.
  • Effective Change Management skills and a strong ability to help the business think through the implications of change with regards to people, process and technology
