Pay and Reward Manager – Remote working or Dorset – Charity sector

£46,410 – £54,600

I’ve partnered with a well-known charity based in Dorset (with full remote options) with the recruitment of their next Pay and Reward Manager. This is a broad role in a lean reward team that will include line management.

You’ll be reporting into a Senior Reward Manager, and responsible for understanding key reward trends, costs of pay and benefit strategies to the organisation, ensuring good value is achieved and the right people are able to be attracted and retained.

Your Role

You will work in close partnership with our Senior Reward Manager and have focus on the following areas:

  • Managing the team which is made up of Reward Advisors and the Reward Analyst
  • Contributing to and supporting the implementation of the Pay & Reward strategy
  • Building relationships with our HR Business Partners
  • Design, development and delivery for any new practices or changes to Pay and Reward policy and process
  • Assist with the development and preparation of papers for presentation to the Remuneration Committee

About You

Along with your experience within a Pay and Reward role, you’ll be someone who is an effective team player and people manager with a pragmatic approach to problem solving. With excellent analytical, organisation and prioritisation skills you’ll have a calm approach to a busy workload. You will have the ability to think strategically and see the broader view. You are someone who enjoys working on complex Pay and Reward subjects and can inspire others through effective people managing and coaching.

To be considered as our Pay and Reward Manager we are looking for:

  • Previous experience of managing Reward activities
  • Experience of people management and leading a team
  • Expertise in pay design, salary benchmarking, pay analysis and modelling
  • Expertise in job evaluation and grading
  • An ability to build relationships and credibility as a Reward expert
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to present complex matters logically and simply


  • Experience in, or keen interest in the charity sector
