I returned to the UK in February 2016 after living for five years in Switzerland and Matt was put in touch with me by an ex-colleague during my search for a new senior level role.
At this time, Matt was searching for a Reward Director. During our initial conversations, he took the time to ensure that I fully understood the role, the culture of the organization and the hiring manager. He also took the time to get to know me personally and build a rapport to understand what engages and interests me to ensure that I would be a good cultural fit for the organization.
Throughout the selection and recruitment process, Matt was always in contact with me, letting me know how the process was moving, next steps and timelines. He was one of the few Consultants that I was working with who didn’t require constant nudges to keep me informed.
If all of this sounds a bit stuffy, it wasn’t. Matt has an engaging sense of humour and our conversations were characterised by a good deal of laughter. “They” say that searching for and starting a new role are amongst the most stressful things that you can do. Matt took a lot of the stress out of it by keeping me amused.
I would also say that he took the client relationship above and beyond the call of duty. Outside of the day job, I am also a Fitness Instructor and Matt even attended one of my classes!

I was going through a redundancy consultation when I received a call from Fiona of which I wasn’t expecting. In fact I was waiting for a call from another company of which I had just had an interview with.

Kevin was very instrumental in me securing my current role. I was working on a FTC earlier this year and was approached by Kevin regarding several relevant roles that I might be interested in during my job search phase. What stands out about his approach are simple:

I don’t usually work with exclusive agency remits – all eggs in one basket etc, but I think I am now converted! The benefits I saw were that you knew that we would be dealing only with yourself and as such all effort generated was towards a common goal, this felt much more like a partnership arrangement rather than the ’normal’ agency ‘ relationship’ that I have worked with previously and I much preferred it. Besides which, given your niche expertise in the Reward space, I was confident after meeting with you – and proved right – that you had some excellent candidates that you could present.
