Founded in 2008 by Matthew Clement and Kevin O’Brien, Williams Kent is a highly distinctive and independent recruitment business. With more than 30 years direct recruitment experience, they met and worked as business leaders in one of the UK’s largest recruitment organisations. Their vision was to develop a highly specialised consultancy that puts candidates and clients first.
Williams Kent has expanded organically and we continue to attract top recruitment talent which fits the company's high ethical standards, professionalism and our huge sense of fun. Specialising in HR and Reward recruitment, each one of our consultants personalise their services to suit our clients and candidates. We work exceptionally hard to make that service unique and more importantly effective.
We really do go the extra mile when helping our customers on a personal and professional level, a great example of this dedication came when one of our consultants babysat a candidate’s child, while they attended their interview!
We are a small company with a big personality! Every team member at Williams Kent brings a unique skill set and charisma to the mix but we all have one thing in common, we all have the drive and determination to succeed and to make our business one that we can be immensely proud of.

I joined Williams Kent in May 2016 and was immediately made to feel a part of the team. I had recently graduated in Events and Marketing and decided to move to London to find work. I was delighted to be appointed to Williams Kent as the Social Media and Marketing Executive. Both directors have been very supportive and are always offering help and advice. They were also not afraid to throw me in to the deep end and gave me ownership of our social media, control over the new website and company rebrand. I could not be in a better place, with a lot of responsibility given to me from day one, whilst working in a cheerful and humorous office environment, there's never a boring day at work.
I joined Williams Kent in the summer of 2016 (2 days before we flew to Ibiza for the incentive trip!) after working in Australia for 2 years. As a recruiter with 4 years’ experience it was really important for me to find somewhere where I would have the right mix of autonomy and support as well as the ability to be involved and input my ideas in to the business, all of which are true at Williams Kent. I really enjoy working as a team with everyone here and definitely made the right choice in joining!
I joined Williams Kent in March 2014 after graduating from Durham University. Both directors made me feel welcome and thoroughly invested their time in my development as a recruitment consultant. I wanted to join a director led business so I have the opportunity to work closely with two engaging and experienced recruiters, which has helped me develop into a well-rounded consultant. I enjoy the mix of autonomy and guidance I receive through being part of Williams Kent and I am looking forward to continued growth as part of the team.
At the heart of Williams Kent is our commitment to caring and developing relationships with
the wider community. We have chosen to partner with Willow Foundation, a charity close to
our hearts and in line with our company values and ethos. As a business we are focused on
matching candidates and clients, optimising their working lives and via Willow we hope to
extend this by helping others fulfil their dreams.
Willow is the only UK charity supporting seriously ill young adults by providing Special Days.
Each unique experience is a positive focus away from treatment or marks recovery from illness.
The planning, anticipation and excitement of the day itself boosts confidence and provides
inspiration to make every moment count.
The vision of Willow Foundation is to support seriously ill young adults at the most difficult
time of their lives and to create an unforgettable special day for them.
Thank you, Williams Kent Team
